Replace bulky cheering gear with your iPhone. Choose a sound and shake: bells, applause and horns are always within reach.

From an idea to an iPhone app.

ShakeCheer turns phone movement into cheering sounds. This in-house product provides a concrete example of our work designing, developing and improving a mobile application.

The need

Cheer for a team and react during a game using something already within reach: an iPhone. The experience needed to stay simple, even in a lively crowd.

The solution

Choose a sound, start and shake the phone to trigger it. Favorites and Match mode provide access to common reactions, while personal sounds let users make their own voices heard.

Experience design, motion-based interactions, audio playback, purchases and advertising integration, iPhone testing and preparation for App Store releases.

The app evolves through testing and user feedback, with improvements to sound behavior, controls and feature access. The screenshots above show version 1.5 submitted to Apple; its availability depends on Apple’s approval.
